Janine's Bio

A licensed physical therapist (B.S. McGill University, 1983), Reiki practitioner, and certified fitness trainer, Janine augments her classes with aspects of therapy, healing, and fitness to maximize yoga's mind, body and spirit experience.

Janine began her own yoga practice in 1992. Since then, she has participated in yoga teacher-training led by Sarah Powers in California and regularly enhances her practice with training workshops and extended retreats. She teaches both a yin and yang style of yoga. The yin yoga is a deep and passive practice while her yang style is vinyasa-based with a slow and therapeutic approach.

Janine is committed to the yogic path of healing in her own life and helps to assist others through Reiki and private sessions.
Class Description
  • Each class is unique and may include yin, yang and/or restorative styles of hatha yoga. Class format provides options for both beginning and experienced students. All yoga equipment included.
  • Classes are ongoing. Beginners welcome. Environment is non-intimidating, supportive and friendly.
  • Please arrive early at your first Tranquil Flame Yoga class and dress in comfortable exercise clothing.
